3-minute read

The year 2024 is poised to be a breakthrough year for AI and spatial computing applications. HTC VIVE is a pioneer in the XR space and has already made monumental contributions to the advancement of human-computer interface, and all the latest innovations are on display on the show floor at this year's Mobile World Congress.

From VR systems that operate in space to AI technologies that break down language barriers in easily accessible virtual worlds, each innovation showcased by HTC VIVE at MWC represents a profound insight into the future of work and play. These advancements are not only redefining how businesses and enterprises can transform through their adoption of virtual technology, but they are also actively reshaping how we interact and communicate with one another, enhancing work productivity through spatial computing.

We have consolidated six highlights from HTC VIVE's presentation at MWC in Barcelona-- from hardware enhancements, software spatial platforms, more support for Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) applications, to AI technology integration. All of these technologies are unified into one cohesive experience by HTC VIVE to deliver cutting-edge technology and superior user experiences to consumers and businesses alike.

VIVE Location-Based Service Suite: Sharing VR Experiences Just Got Easier

For businesses, HTC is launching VIVE Business+ for the VIVE XR Elite. VIVE Business+ is a service that enables synchronized and centralized management of multiple VIVE Focus 3 and VIVE XR Elite devices, simplifying remote monitoring and content deployment, and empowering the integration of XR technology into the work environment.

Many believe that VR could lead to social isolation, making shared content enjoyment difficult. HTC's Location-Based Service Suite (LBSS) technology, part of the VIVE Business+ service, enables shared VR experiences for multiple users. This technology is already in use across various industry sectors, from entertainment and educational training to art exhibitions, breaking the constraints of location and group size, and achieving excellent results for multi-user, multi-device, location-based applications with full body tracking support.

Sending the VIVE Focus 3 into space onto the International Space Station, the virtual pyramid adventure "Horizon of Khufu," the ongoing "Eternal Notre-Dame" exhibition in Kaohsiung, and the upcoming "Tonight with the Impressionists" experience at the Musée d'Orsay, all utilize VIVE Business+ and the VIVE Location-Based Service Suite to unlock advanced content experiences. This service is now available on the VIVE XR Elite!

VIVE XR Elite Business Edition: Enhanced Accessories, Easier Deployment

The VIVE XR Elite is known for its light weight, versatility, and wear comfort, earning countless accolades. The VIVE R&D team has made several improvements for business use, such as a new face gasket that is easier to clean and replace, a more robust over-the-top headstrap, and security clips for connecting the rear battery.

AI-Infused VIVERSE: Multilingual Translation, AI Voice Assistant, and More

Geographical barriers are obliterated by the advent of online virtual meetings, but language barriers still pose a significant challenge. At MWC, VIVERSE has deeply integrated AI features directly into its platform, including AI voice assistants, auto meeting minutes, and even real-time translation in eight languages.

Beyond AI, immersive virtual experiences are further enhanced by the integration of VIVERSE's new Polygon Streaming technology, which allows for highly detailed 3D objects to be rendered in high-fidelity in the virtual world and, more importantly, run smoothly on any device.

VIVE Desk: Virtual Multi-Screens, Expanding Your Workspace with Spatial Computing

HTC VIVE launched the VIVE Desk Beta late last year, allowing you to project multiple large virtual screens into your real physical environment with just your laptop and your VIVE XR Elite.
