While growing up, we were told to stay indoors during a lunar eclipse. They have a negative undertone attached to them, and for most parts, it's true. On 8th November, the last lunar eclipse will occur during the full moon in Taurus. The next full moon lunar eclipse will only take place in 2025, so if you want to make the most of its notorious energies, this is it.

First, let's understand the basics: the lunar eclipse occurs when the earth comes in between the sun and the moon, projecting its shadow on the moon. A total eclipse denotes a time of darkness and eeriness per se. Scientifically, there is a loss of light, but it is not as intense as a solar eclipse.

The new moon's partial solar eclipse on 25th October opened a two-week portal of powerful energies that will come full circle with the lunar eclipse on the 8th. However, the effects of the changes and decisions made in these two weeks will be felt well into the new year. Elon Musk buying Twitter has got to be the perfect example from the universe.

What's interesting to note is that while the eclipse is happening during Scorpio season, the full moon is in Taurus, a sign known for its stillness. There is a glimmer of hope that some of us will feel a subtle shift instead of a life-altering jolt. The keyword to highlight here is 'some'!

In Indian mythology and stories, an eclipse is a time of simply existing. People believe that we shouldn't venture outside. Eating heavy meals and indulging in drinks is prohibited. No rituals, celebrations, or pujas take place on this day. It is an opportunity to detox what doesn't serve you anymore.

While many of us won't believe this, it is good to meditate on this day to mingle with the high-power energies around us. A blanket is ready for you to wrap around and practise letting go. It's a helping hand, one that we should attempt to hold.

During a full moon, usually, crystals are charged, and manifestations make their way into our favourite journal. However, a full moon eclipse might contradict those intentions. It is best to resort to taking it easy and slow in every aspect.

There are also indications of how having sexual relations during an eclipse is a big no. This is because the burst of emotions gets heightened due to the aura around you, and things that have not been spoken about, travel to the surface. If you are not in the mood to have the tough talk, refrain from anything that can lead to that.

But here's something you can do - Tulsi or Holy Basil is considered calming, so remember to boil it in some water and keep sipping on it. Or even a lemonade with Tulsi sounds quite refreshing.

According to the stars, the effects of an eclipse lasts days after the phenomenon has occurred, so don't let your guard down, yeah? A simple trick is to practise deep breathing, write a gratitude list of little things you have in your life, triple your water intake to keep your cool, and just binge-watch your favourite shows - ones with an easy-breezy plot.

TAKE IT SLOW. That's it.
