Call it the mommy-and-me sighting of an era. Today, Courtney Love and her daughter Francis Bean Cobain sat front row at Saint Laurent’s Eiffel Tower-staged show. Both kept their classic grunge style in tact, but elevated it with some Parisian nuit flair. Cobain opted for an alluring sheer lace blouse and a delicate black bralette that she topped off with a high-waisted pleated skirt and knee-high black boots. Love also chose to wear all black, choosing a lingerie-infused slip dress, a sharp velvet blazer, and skinny jeans. A touching addition, here? Both made the case for twinning clutches.

What’s more, it wasn’t their first Saint Laurent-themed moment of the day: The duo was spotted this afternoon stepping into the Saint Laurent store in devil-may-care, cool mother-daughter fashion. Love and Cobain added a ’90s rock ’n’ roll tinge to their looks—Love in a magnolia yellow, bow-embellished, thigh-skimming dress, a tailored coat, and embellished ladylike flats. Cobain opted for some yellow, too, rendered in a floral print skirt that she paired with an exaggerated keyhole top. The rocker vibe came through in Cobain’s red boots—not unlike something Love would have worn during her Hole years. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, after all.
