Over the course of Naruto, the popular anime and manga series, its protagonist Naruto Uzumaki, undergoes a series of transformations. Here are seven iconic looks that Naruto sports during his journey from a young ninja-in-training to the revered Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.

As a toddler and a young academy student, Naruto wore a simple, short-sleeved, orange jumpsuit. His hair was shorter and his forehead was often covered by a white headband with the Leaf Village symbol.

When Naruto graduates to a genin (lower-ranked ninja), he continues to wear his orange jumpsuit but with a forehead protector headband and sandals. He also starts wearing a dark blue jacket, given to him by his sensei, Kakashi.

Naruto's appearance changes significantly when he learns Sage Mode. He wears a longer, red coat, and has a toad-shaped necklace. His eyes turn orange with toad-like irises. This look is associated with his newfound power and improved abilities.

In the later part of the series, Naruto inherits the power of the Sage of the Six Paths, which grants him a more mature and powerful appearance. He dons a cloak with the Sage's symbol and gains the ability to fly. His appearance signifies his growing strength and responsibility.

After becoming the Seventh Hokage, Naruto's outfit becomes more formal. He wears a white robe with a Hokage hat and a red armband with the kanji for 'Seventh Hokage.' This is one of his most iconic looks and symbolises his achievement as the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village.

In the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series, which takes place after the events of Naruto, Naruto has grown older and sports a more mature appearance. He still wears the Hokage's robe but now has a goatee and his hair is longer, pulled back into a ponytail. His outfit has a more refined, dignified look.
