THE number of big bras being sold in shops is rocketing.

While the average bust size in the UK is 36D, sales of sizes 38E to 44K rose by 40 per cent in 2022 compared to the previous year.

With National Lingerie Day taking place next week, we’ve enlisted the help of Boob Share podcast host Jackie Adedeji, a size 36K, to test out seven of the high street’s best bras for a fuller bust.

Jackie, whose documentary My Big Boobs is set to air on Channel 4 later this year, has always struggled to find bras to fit her.

She says: “If I’m honest, bra shopping can be bittersweet when it’s for bigger bras.

“Often, I spend ages finding a nice one, then when you try it on it digs in the back or you don’t feel supported. Or, more likely, it doesn’t even go up to my cup size.

“More brands should go up to K sizes and above. There are so many of us ladies with larger boobs — I call us the Special Ks — and we often feel forgotten.

“We want to feel empowered, sexy and secure in a bra too.”

Here, Jackie models her top high street big bra picks and rates each out of ten.

I ABSOLUTELY love the colour and support of this bra. It feels ultra secure for me and I love the double overlay detail.

I would dress this up for an evening look with an oversized blazer on top.

THIS bra screams summer vibes – I would wear it for a BBQ with a shirt over the top. I love the yellow lace.

The wider straps are a great detail for extra support. I feel really good in this.

THERE’S hints of Mel B with this one –  and who doesn’t love leopard print?

I feel strapped in with the harness and I like that the back is corseted so I feel secure. This fit is slightly big on me, which is good to know if shopping here.

THIS colour looks great on my skin tone and really goes with these jeans.

As a fuller-busted woman, I really like how pretty this style feels on me as well as how it looks. Top marks – it has to be my joint favourite.

THIS bra is really comfortable and would be great for lounging around in all day.

I love the emerald green and it feels like a relaxed fit as well as being supportive. It’s on the lower end of the price scale, which is a bonus, too.

WOW! I really do feel like a goddess in this striking purple one. I love both the colour and the fit.

This is very much an everyday bra for me that I feel secure in and can wear with confidence.

THE way I usually test the support of bras out is by doing burpees – and this one passed the test.
