The movies are adaptations of author C.S.Lewis' literary work and Skandar plays the character in the trio of flicks, these being The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.

Edmund was the third of the Pevensie children - yet the second to enter the stunning surroundings of Narnia.

In the first movie, his character was tricked by the White Witch into betraying his siblings, leading to him eventually being crowned King Of Narnia.

The star's acting career began aged nine, while playing a "boy in rags" extra at the Royal Shakespeare Company's 2001 production of Macbeth.

Yet he shot to international acting fame with his first Narnia movie in 2005.

Sources claimed he performed all his own stunts - including sword fighting and horse riding - and he was awarded a CAMIE accolade for his efforts.

After his adventures in Narnia, Skandar starred as himself in a short promotional film for audio story In Freedom's Cause.

He had voiced the character Sir Allan Kerr in the 2014 production, yet announced his retirement from acting two years later.

As reported in gossip website popbitch, the London resident has now switched to a career in politics.

He has worked as a political advisor for the UK Government since 2017.

Skandar is following in the family footsteps, with his grandfather previously working as an advisor to a Tunisian president.

Meanwhile, we recently reported how his Chronicles Of Narnia co-star George Henley is completely unrecognisable 18 years after the movie aired.

Georgie, who played Lucy Pevensie in the classic film, was just 10-years-old when the movie debuted.

She’s now 28 and still working as an actress – even going on to star in a one-woman play called Tarantula at the Southwark Playhouse in London last year.
