Frances Bean Cobain is already legend. Now, she's just adding music to the mix.

Though she's spent the majority of her adolescence away from the spotlight (save for the occasional fashion statement, the daughter of Kurt and Courtney Love Cobain may be taking on an entirely new venture. She's following in her family's footsteps: music (what else would you expect?)

Two days ago, Frances posted a brief clip of her covering Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle." The video appeared among posts of adorable puppies and Snapchat filters, so it was informal (and perhaps impromptu) to say the least. The post opens with her pointing out her (awesome) Fred Flintstone t-shirt, and cuts to what appears to be a recording of her playing guitar and singing.

Her mom — you know, just Courtney Love, NBD — reposted the video to her own Instagram with the note that "your father is very proud of this as am I baby, I love you to the moon and back." Could this be the beginning of the new generation of Love-Cobain legacy? Will this eventually lead to a record deal? Is it a clip from rehearsals for a deal that's already in the works? We could speculate for days, but for now, let's just get excited about the fact that this is happening at all.
