Parker Fly Deluxe Ex Jeff Beck

Sold

For all the Mozarts and Beethovens of classical music, there's Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck in rock. A true innovator of the electric guitar, he invented and perfected his unique technique to build his own sound and enshrine it in music legend. While Jeff Beck was very attached to the Fender Stratocaster, he also experimented extensively with other guitars throughout his career. He experimented with instruments until he found the color he was looking for in his guitar sounds. This Parker Fly Deluxe from 1995 is one of them: it was played by Jeff Beck in the studio for work sessions.

This Parker Fly in its superb emerald-green finish is a stunning guitar made from composite materials, including carbon fiber for a particularly light rendering and striking contrasting hues. Jeff Beck spent a lot of time playing this guitar in his studio in the late 1990s, working on new recordings. Known for his taste for innovation and his constant quest for new sounds, the guitar had been tuned to Beck's very specific requirements, including a really odd mixture of strings and tuning half a tone down. It's an absolutely exceptional guitar, having interested Jeff Beck himself to the point of becoming a working instrument for a few sessions. The guitar is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the store that presented it to Jeff Beck in 1996.
