Manchester United will not be able to relish in their Premier League victory over Fulham today as attention now turns to an important tie in the UEFA Champions League.

The Reds managed to halt their poor form against Marco Silva's side thanks to Bruno Fernandes' late heroics. However, they must show the same levels of fight and passion for the shirt when they travel to FC Copenhagen for a tricky European tie midweek.

United currently sit third in Group A and a victory in Denmark will go a long way to putting their Champions League campaign back on the right track. If they are going to win in Copenhagen they may have to do it without Marcus Rashford.

The winger suffered a knock in the build-up to the game with Fulham and is a doubt for Wednesday. Rashford has also called out reports online today regarding his future at Old Trafford.

Harry Maguire also has question marks next to his name after suffering two minor injuries in the victory

United's team could change again vs Copenhagen

When this season began Erik ten Hag would have had a pretty good idea of his strongest Manchester United team and 10 of them started on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

At that point, it had felt like a pretty productive summer and Ten Hag had the pieces he wanted to form his team. More depth could be added, but the additions should have allowed him to build this side more in his image.

It was clear in pre-season that the Dutchman wanted United to be more proactive in his second season, playing higher up the pitch and pressing with more intent. He had a new striker, the midfielder he wanted and a transformative goalkeeper.

Sabitzer gives glowing review of Manchester United boss Ten Hag

Marcel Sabitzer has sung the praises of Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and explained that his 'straight' explanations and instructions make him such a good manager to work for.

United moved to sign Sabitzer on deadline day of the January transfer window last season after Christian Eriksen suffered a serious injury. The Austrian arrived on a short-term loan from Bayern Munich and made a good first impression.

The combative midfielder slotted into the side well and looked to be heading towards a permanent deal until an unfortunate injury ended his campaign prematurely. Sabitzer played 18 games for United, scoring three goals, and enjoyed working with Ten Hag throughout his tenure.

Shearer blasts Manchester United's Rashford

Alan Shearer has described Marcus Rashford’s decision to go out partying after Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat by Manchester City as “daft”, and said he should have cancelled his pre-arranged plans.

Erik ten Hag branded the manner of the birthday celebrations “unacceptable” although refused to reveal whether he had been fined. The manager said the striker had apologised to the rest of the squad. It is understood Tyrell Malacia, currently out injured having not played since last season, also attended the party.

Rashford missed the 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday after failing a late fitness test having picked up a knock in training the day prior. The England star, who turned 26 on Tuesday, has scored just one club goal all season.

Barbosa's transfer admission could be bad news for Manchester United

Gabriel Barbosa has previously admitted he would like to join Liverpool, which could prove to be a problem for Manchester United.

United could be in the market for attacking reinforcements in the new year as their struggles in front of goal have continued this season, with star signing Rasmus Hojlund yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag's side have been linked with Barbosa in recent days in a potential January move.

Barbosa, commonly known as Gabigol, plays in his home country of Brazil for Flamengo and has netted 18 times this season. According to the Sunday Mirror, United are even willing to offer Antony on loan in order to secure the striker.

Sabitzer gives two reasons for Manchester United's current poor form

Former Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer has revealed he looks back fondly at his time at Old Trafford - and thinks injuries and the ongoing ownership saga have both contributed to the club's poor form so far this season.

Sabitzer joined the Reds on January's transfer deadline day. During his time at the club, the Austrian put in some solid performances for United, scoring three goals in 18 appearances from midfield.

At the end of his loan spell, Erik ten Hag opted against signing the 29-year-old permanently with Borussia Dortmund purchasing him for €19m from Bayern Munich. While he did not return to United, Sabitzer still holds fond memories of his time at the club.

FC Copenhagen duo give damning verdict on Manchester United

FC Copenhagen stars Elias Achouri and Kevin Diks have each given a scathing review of Manchester United after their first encounter and fancy their chances in the reverse fixture.

United return to Champions League action on Wednesday night as they travel to Denmark to face the capital side. Though Bruno Fernandes' late winner at Fulham ensured an end to a rotten run of results, Erik ten Hag remains under pressure.

It's been a dreadful start to the new season and it has been no different in Europe, in which back-to-back defeats to begin the campaign has lowered United's chances of advancing to the knock-out rounds. United did manage to scrape past FC Copenhagen 1-0 at Old Trafford, with Harry Maguire's winning goal and Andre Onana's dramatic penalty save securing the win.

Pundits give verdict on Manchester United winger Antony

Manchester United winger Antony is facing a fresh struggle at the club with his performances coming under increased scrutiny.

At Fulham on Saturday, the 23-year-old was the clear weak link on the right-hand side as the forward struggled to break down a resolute defence. On 63 minutes, Antony was hauled off to a mixture of ironic cheers and jeers from supporters in a damning indictment of his current predicament.

With all eyes on the former Ajax man to see how he reacts to this dip in form, MEN Sport has taken a look at what some prominent pundits and his manager have said about Antony recently.

Rashford's five word response to 'malicious' rumours he could leave United

Marcus Rashford has delivered a five-word social media comment hitting back at a Manchester United fan channel who were debating whether he has a future at the club.

The striker has not had a fruitful season up to this point, scoring just one club goal having also been admonished by boss Erik ten Hag for attending a party hours after the derby defeat to Manchester City eight days ago.

He was left out of the squad for Saturday’s triumph over Fulham having picked up a knock in training and subsequently failing a late fitness test. Rashford netted a career high 30 goals last term and secured a new five-year deal in July.

Hojlund told he arrived at United at wrong time

Former United defender Paul Parker has been impressed with Hojlund so far but feels he has not arrived at the right time for him to flourish.

Speaking to SpilXperten, Parker said:

Yes, of course, they would like to see some goals in the Premier League, but given Manchester United´s situation right now, the work ethic is the most important thing. He is working so hard. He is a very good centre forward, I can see that with the way he holds the ball in the build up play, and especially the run he makes. He is sticking out like a sore thumb. Is Manchester United the right club for him at this moment in time? No, it is not. Is he being coached by the right manager? Yes, I think he is. Did he arrive at Manchester United at the wrong time? Yes, he did. 100%.

United told their limit in this season's Champions League

Ahead of Wednesday night's tie in Copenhagen, United have been told by former Liverpool defender Didi Hamann their Champions League limit is the quarter finals.

Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds, Hamann said:

City remain the benchmark in the Champions League. We'll see if United get out of the group, but I can't see them getting past the quarters. I can't see Arsenal getting past the semis, and if Newcastle get out of the group, they could be a dark horse. City can win it, of course, but I don't think that about United or Arsenal.

Ex-pros like Neville might not be the answer for VAR woes

Former Premier League referee Jeff Winter believes having ex-pros like Gary Neville in the VAR room would not be beneficial for rectifying the current issues with the system.

Winter explained to Betway:

You can't say ex-pros can't be in the VAR room, and it's great entertainment to see the likes of Gary Neville debate the decisions. He knows the game inside-out, but let's not forget that he played for United! He's not always fully impartial! A lot of players would be the same. We see a lot of the pundits know the game, but do not know the laws fully. If the present VAR people continue to get it wrong, then I can't say others don't deserve the chance. You need to be someone who knows football to use VAR technology, but you also have to be someone who knows the systems of the game.

OPINION: Hojlund is not being given what he needs by United trio

"He wants to score goals."

That was Erik ten Hag's assessment when he, for the first time, explained why Manchester United had made the decision to invest up to £72million in striker Rasmus Hojlund.

After it became clear that Ten Hag's hopes of signing Harry Kane were going nowhere, United directed their search for a new striker in the opposite direction. Whereas Kane was proven and polished, Hojlund was raw and inexperienced.
