Visiting uninhabited small island surrounded by waters may be exciting, but, what if the island is nearly as large as Chicago and has many tourist attractions? That will be super exciting!

Samosir Island is located in the middle of the magnificent Toba Lake. You can go there by ferry from the port of Parapat. The collaboration of natural scenery, mountainous hills in the distance, and the calm water will be your best entertainment during your short voyage. The island surprisingly has exactly three beautiful lakes surrounded by savanna and pine trees that will generate serenity within your soul. There is also Siallagan where a lot of unique traditional houses remain well preserved. In this village you can find Batu Persidangan, a stage made of stone, with stone tables and chairs used by the king for trial process and sentenced the defendants. The last attraction but not least, you may need to see how the rare and gorgeous Sumatran traditional fabric are skillfully produced by women in Suhi Suhi Village. If you are lucky, you can buy it with such an affordable price!
