The internet promptly panicked after a Twitter user seemingly made the discovery that the Teletubbies had procreated at some point between us growing out of them and growing up. It turns out these babies are real — there are eight of them, per the Teletubbies site, and they are called “Tiddlytubbies.”

The Telebabies “live with the Teletubbies in their own special part of the Home Dome,” the site explains. It’s unclear who supervises the TubbyBBs for the most part, but “[t]he Teletubbies are always excited when a voice trumpet announces ‘Time for Tiddlytubbies’ and the Tiddlytubbies crawl into their own playroom.”

Each lil Teletubtub has his/her own color and characteristics. For example, Daa Daa is bright green and very active. He “loves revving back and forth extremely quickly on the Tiddlynoo and saying 'Daa-Daa' — a lot!” Classic Tebebubiddly.

Then there’s Baa! Baa is a bit of a loner, the site reports, though he enjoys “popping up unexpectedly shouting 'Baa!' much to the others’ surprise!” Typical Telebubbubby.
