Construction Details:

"Robin Hood: Men In Tights" is one of my all time favorite movies. Somehow it came up that I should make costumes from it and so I did. And what is Marian without her Robin Hood? I was very glad that my husband agreed to dress in tights for this costume endeavor ^_^

The boots and tights were ordered from EBay. The boots were originally a light tan color, so I used brown Floral Spray to make them a darker brown. The shirt is made from a light beige linen/cotton blend and is just a modern shirt with button at the cuffs and a pointed collar. The tunic is brown faux suede with pleather placket detailing and studs (which are googley eyes painted silver). The tunic fastens with leather lacing and gold hammered grommets.The belt is made of leather, and the pouch is made from tan faux suede with a toggle closure.

I made the hat from some green leather I have had for many years and it worked out really well! I had to pattern out the brim, which took a while, but it looks great. The feather is made from three yellow-dyed pheasant feathers glued together and glued into the hat. I was so happy to see how many people recognized Robin and me - I love that people love this movie!! We are big Mel Brooks fans and it was so much fun to honor one of his movies.
