Swedish photographer Erik Johansson likes to take things that you think you know in nature and flip them completely upside down in his photo manipulations.
Self-taught in both photography and image retouching, Johansson credits his style to the vast Swedish countryside he grew up in.
“A lot of the environments in my photos are captured near places I know, around my parents’ home with wide open landscapes and small red houses,” Johansson says on the biography page of his website. “Inspiration is everywhere and once you learn the tools you're only limited by your own imagination.”

Johansson aims to create visuals that appear as impossible realism, rather than illusions of a fantasy world, manipulating what nature has to give him, he says during an interview with Create Adobe.
