Lampard spent 13 years at the club, scoring 211 goals in 648 appearances to become their all-time leading goalscorer.

He will no doubt receive a hugely warm welcome in west London, but his thoughts will soon turn to staging another giant-killing.

Derby eliminated Manchester United on penalties in the last round and now head into the game on a six-match unbeaten run.

When asked whether he will show restraint if his team win, Lampard said: "It will be easy to do that because I respect the club.

"When I scored against them [for Manchester City in 2014], I didn’t celebrate and I wouldn’t have done in a million years.

"I respect Chelsea, but I don’t think anyone expects me to sit here and say, 'I don’t want to beat Chelsea.'"
