Cinnamon is also used in the world of drugs, among which can be used for canker sores, cough medicine, shortness of breath, stomach pain, flatulence, diarrhea, rheumatism and warms the stomach.

The main chemical compounds of cinnamon are cinnamic acid and cinnamaldehid. Cinnamaldehyde is a low molecular weight cinnamic acid analogue, this compound has many activities such as antipyretic, astringent, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-tumor.
