ALASAN TOMBOL KEYBOARD TIDAK SESUAI DWNGAN HURUF ABJAD

In accordance with the appointment in the post yesterday, in this post, I will discuss why keyboard keys are not alphabetical ABCD but QWERTY alphabet .

Sesuai dengan janji di postingan kemarin, dipostingan ini, saya akan membahas kenapa tombol keyboard tidak sesuai abjad ABCD melainkan QWERTY.

In fact, the first keyboard keys were created in alphabetical order ABCD.

Sebenarnya, tombol-tombol keyboard pertama diciptakan sesuai urutan abjad ABCD.

That is, in the 1860s typewriter at that time the arrangement of the buttons are still in alphabetical order ABCD. But it does not survive because in typing English, the typed iron is caught when typed quickly, this makes the workers uncomfortable, because in a hurry they have to fix the machine.

Yaitu pada tahun 1860an mesin ketik pada masa itu susunan tombol-tombolnya masih berurutan sesuai abjad ABCD. Namun hal itu tidak bertahan karena dalam pengetikan bahasa inggris, besi-besi ketik tersebut tersangkut ketika diketik dengan cepat, hal ini membuat para pekerja tidak nyaman, karena pada saat terburu-buru mereka harus memperbaiki mesin tersebut.

So in October 1867, Sholes filed a patent application for his first typewriter. He does not work alone, but is helped by his friends Carlos Glidden and Samuel W. Soule.

Sehingga pada Oktober 1867, Sholes mengajukan aplikasi paten untuk mesin ketik pertama buatannya. Ia tidak bekerja sendiri, melainkan dibantu oleh temannya Carlos Glidden dan Samuel W. Soule.

The QWERTY layout is becoming increasingly popular with the presence of the first typewriter named Remington No. 2 in 1878 featuring upper and lower case letters. This typewriter is equipped with shift key.

Layout QWERTY menjadi semakin populer dengan kehadiran mesin ketik pertama bernama Remington No. 2 pada 1878 yang menampilkan huruf besar dan huruf kecil (upper and lower case letters). Mesin ketik ini sudah dilengkapi dengan tombol shift.

Rather than placing letter by letter in an alphabetical order, Sholes creates a QWERTY format. It is said that the QWERTY layout is designed to slow down typing, because if the stack is not QWERTY, but based on the alphabet, then typing is considered to be too fast.

Ketimbang menempatkan huruf demi huruf dalam susunan alfabetis, Sholes membuat format QWERTY. Konon, layout QWERTY dibuat untuk memperlambat pengetikan, karena bila susunannnya bukan QWERTY, melainkan berdasarkan alfabetis, maka pengetikan dianggap akan menjadi terlalu cepat.

Sehingga, membuat para pengetik mengalami hal yang telah dipermasalahkan tadi.

So, that's why the order of keyboard keys does not match the alphabet but with the qwerty sequence.

Jadi, begitulah kenapa susunan tombol keyboard tidak sesuai dengan abjad melainkan dengan urutan qwerty.

However, now many can type quickly using the QWERTY keyboard layout, even though that is not a typewriter.

Tetapi, sekarang banyak yang bisa mengetik dengan cepat menggunakan keyboard layout QWERTY, walaupun yang digunakan itu bukan mesin ketik.
