The Teletubbies are actually 10-feet tall and people can't cope

We doubt that you’ve ever really given much thought to the Teletubbies’ height, but if you did, you’d probably imagine that the colourful, lovable characters from a CBeebies TV show aimed at toddlers were probably small, dinky and adorable, right?

Well, it turns out that you’re wrong – it has come to light that they are actually up to 10-feet tall, and the internet really can’t cope with this new information.

It all started when a curious Tumblr-user searched the Teletubbies’ height, only to find a TIME article that explains: “Po, the smallest, is 6 ft. 6 in., while Tinky Winky looms around 10 ft. tall.

“This makes for a costume that weighs more than 30 lbs. And if the performers, who see and breathe through the mouth holes, keep their heads on too long, there is a danger of carbon-dioxide buildup.”

Sharing a screenshot of the article, they wrote: “It’s 1 am and I have a cold and I just found out that Tinky Winky is 10 feet tall and I don’t know what to do.”

The post quickly gained traction, with many stunned Tumblr users reblogging the post – adding photos that show the true, terrifying height of the characters.

Of course good news travels fast, and soon Twitter users were freaking out over the sinister truth of Tinky Winky’s staggering height, writing:

Let’s just hope the Teletubbies never turn against us because we can think of literally nothing more terrifying than an angry, 10-feet-tall, Tinky Winky.
