Being one of the big three anime, Naruto makes it into the top 10 list of anime watchers. Fans saw the young Naruto Uzumaki grow up from being the young boy who caused trouble to be the seventh hokage of the leaf. Naruto currently has the largest fandom in anime.

There are many different reasons you will get when you ask fans why they think Naruto is the best anime. In this article, you will get some of the most common responses.

1. Viewers Connect to Naruto Shippuden (Emotionally)

When you watch Naruto, especially after the time skip, you will find yourself getting emotional over events that occur. It was a sad moment for anime fans all over the world after the death of Master Jiraiya. What made it even more painful was the fact that he died at the hands of his very own student, whom he had taught believing would bring peace to the ninja world.

Fans felt pity towards Naruto after he learned that Sakura didn’t love him but instead loved his best friend. Naruto wasn’t always the lucky guy, but in the end, things worked for him since he found love and achieved his dream.

2. The Villains Have a Separate Fan Base

There is no doubt Pain holds the number one villain spot among the fans. He made it his life goal to cause havoc in the Shinobi world using the tailed beasts’ chakra to make people realize the consequences of war. Fans learn from Pain that even the most heartless people once had a good heart, and it is the world that changes them.

Fans see Obito Uchiha start a war all because he wanted a world where he would reunite with Rin, the girl he loved. This war showed fans that even anime characters could do anything for love, just like in real life.

In most anime, villains are people whose only purpose is to cause chaos, but in Naruto, all major villains have a proper backstory that makes them popular among fans. This uniqueness proves that Naruto is the best anime.

3. Naruto Has Exceptional Side-characters

As the show begins, fans learn that Itachi Uchiha murdered his entire clan and left only one survivor, his brother. Itachi later came into the Leaf village after a few years and even fought against Kakashi and placed him in a genjutsu. He, however, becomes a fan favorite when Sasuke realizes that all his actions were to protect the village even if it meant making sacrifices.

The previous Hokages stole the show from Naruto when they got revived in the fourth great ninja war. Fans were eager to see the Hokage, especially Hashirama in action because of the hype they had. Shinobi thought their stories were false legends until they witnessed them firsthand. Due to this, Naruto almost got sidelined when the Hokage joined forces to stop two rogue Uchihas.

4. The Character Development in Naruto is on Another Level

Some characters, the likes of Kakashi and Neji underwent extreme character development. However, Sasuke’s character development stood out the most. Sasuke witnessed his entire clan wiped out by his older brother Itachi and swore to avenge them. This urge led to him constantly changing sides from the good to the bad guys as he tried to figure out his path.

As Naruto begins, Hinata appears as a young, timid Kunoichi who gets nervous around Naruto. As the story progresses, she gains confidence, even standing up against Pain. By the time Boruto began, Hinata was a confident young mother and no longer timid around people.

5. Naruto is the Best Anime Due to its Epic Shonen Fights

If you are a big fan of flashy fights, then Naruto is for you. Having mixed both the traditional ninja fighting moves and some power systems, Naruto has the best fight scenes in anime.

Zabuza vs Kakashi’s fight gave fans a glimpse of what to expect, but the Chunnin exam gave fans a lot of goosebumps. Fans realized the stakes would be high when they witnessed Rock Lee, an ordinary kid with only taijutsu, face off against an undefeated shinobi (Gaara) from the sand village that hosted a tailed beast inside him.

Conclusion

Fans have a lot of reasons to give as to why Naruto is the best anime. The most common ones are the epic fight scenes and the emotional connection Naruto holds. Everyone comes up with a different reason, but at the end of the day, you should enjoy the anime. The story of Naruto Uzumaki is an inspiring one, and it deserves to be honored.
