If Jalen Duren proved one thing from Hoop Group Future All-American Camp, it was that he is one of the best class of 2022 prospects in the nation. Duren is very confident in what he's capable of on the floor and can't wait for this high school season at Roman Catholic High School (PA). He talked to HG Insider on this and more.

Q: What did you look to get from your experience at the Hoop Group Future All-American Camp?

A: “My approach was to get better and compete at the highest level with some of the best players in the country.”

Q: What are some of the things you do on the floor that separates you from the rest of the players in your class?

A: “I would definitely say my athleticism, I have a lot of heart and I bring a lot to each game. I think I do a lot that separates me from those in my age group.”

Q: What's something that most people don't know about you yet?

A: “I would say I'm pretty similar on and off the court. When I'm not playing in a game, I am working on it. I like to hang out with family and friends. I don't think there's anything crazy about me. I'm just an average kid with a God given gift.”

Q: You and Justice Williams both decided to go to Roman Catholic High School together. What went behind that decision?

A: “Justice is my guy. It's a duo with me being a big and him a guard. That worked out well and he is high in our class too. We just decided to link up and bring some championships home.”

Q: What do you think people would say about you after watching you play?

A: “When I'm in a game and someone is watching me play, I think they would say I gave it my all. I'm going to give my team all I have and they will either say I dominated or I dunked on your big man.”

Q: What are some of your goals this high school season?

A: “I'm trying to prove that I should be number one in my class. I want to show that I am the best, but it's coming. I'm going to prove a lot of things and people are going to see a lot that they haven't seen from me before.”
