Your answers

Splendid Sunset!
Sunrise - I am still alive!
I like both. They each have their own beauty.
The beginning of the day - always something to look forward to!!
Sunset
Sunset!! Sunrise can be too early for me
Sunset. The feeling of a great summer day coming to the end with the brilliance of an orange sun in the sky always makes me feel so content and happy.
Sunrise. Love to be up with birds and creatures before the rest of the world wakes up. The peace and quiet is calming before the chaos starts…
That's a hard choice as both can be so beautiful, but if I was to choose I would say that seeing each day begin with the sun rising can always bring a smile to my face and hope that today will be the best day....
Sunset!??
I love the awakening, divinely invigorating and unfurling ministering of a sunrise and equally love the sedating hush ministered by the sunset.
Sunrise. Waking up during a camping trip and having a cup of coffee with the sunrise is so nice :)
Haha that’s an easy one.
Sunset! I’m usually awake by then!
Watching sunset is my preference.
Sunrise. The beginning of a new adventure.
Sunset as it is usually more beautiful and interesting on Georgian Bay where we live.
Sunset for sure as I am a night person. Sunrises are great, but I rarely see them.
I prefer the sunset because I usually sleep through a sunrise
Sunset. Not usually awake for sunrise.
Sunset. I'm rarely up at sunrise but enjoy every sunset. In Manitoba, on the prairies, we have the most beautiful sunsets from soft pastels to molten reds and the enormous sun on the horizon. Truly spectacular. Hard to capture on film the true grandiose beauty of a Prairie sunset.
I think I like sunsets more because they have many variations in colour and in the sky overall. Also I can’t wake up early enough to watch the sunrise anyway.
I prefer sunrise because it is a new beginning
Sunrise because it helps fill me with joy and energy for the day ahead.
sunrise- the hues are softer and it's just so gorgeous!
Sunset. Sunrise is too early!
Sunrise. There is a whole new day to look forward to! Sky’s the limit. Leave me feeling exhilarated and ready to take on the world. Carpe Diem
Sunrise of course. Looking forward to doing things that I like as I am retired.
Sunset.
Gotta go with sunset...especially at the cottage, over the lake.
I prefer sunset as I am generally awake to see it; decidedly not being a morning person, my being up and about as early as sunrise has always been a problem for me.
I hate to confess this, but I hardly ever see a sunrise! I do love my sunsets. There is, however, such freshness and promise to a sunrise, that I'm going to choose that as my favourite. I'll try to see more of them in the years I have left.
Sunset on a warm summer evening, with nothing to do but watch the light change. And perhaps sipping a cooling drink.
Sunrise, but sunset is also pretty nice.
What is this thing you call Sunrise? I have heard tell of it, maybe even experienced it once, but I was probably still very much asleep.
Sunset because of the beautiful colours in the sky. It's often reminiscent of a Van Gogh or Monet painting. I am rarely awake for sunrise anyhow.
Being a night owl by nature, sunset. But as I age, I am starting to enjoy the optimism of a sunrise.
Sunrise...the beginning of a new day!! ????
That's a tough one. Sunrise denotes the beginning, the dawning of a new day, another chance, a new adventure, time to make amends, meet friends, start over, accomplish goals.
Sunset marks the end of the day, fruitful or not, a time to rest, to reflect, to plan, to enjoy the fruits of the day. If the day was a disaster, a disappointment, a sad one, glad to be over, you are happy to see it end, you have another chance with the dawning of a new day.
If your day was one of wonder, pleasure, accomplishment, sunset gives the sense of the completion of goals, a satisfying feeling. You can rest.
I cant choose.
Sunset. We walk down to the lake every evening to watch the glorious colours. It's the perfect way to lay aside the stresses of each day and bask in God's beautiful creation.
I love them both. Sunrise reminds me that I have another opportunity to embrace my day with gratitude. The sunset helps me to reflect on my day and count my blessings.
Both! It depends on where I am and who I am with.
Sunrise. The awakening. Dawn of a new day full of possibilities.
Sunrise is almost always fresh and new-feeling. And the day has not yet had a chance to chew me up, tie me down, wear me out, send me into fits then spit me out. For that I am grateful to the sunrise!
Both--one is the beginning of something 'new' and the other is a slow release of what happened.
Sunrise represents hope at the start of a new day.
Sunrise--the dawning of a new day complete with new opportunities.
Sunset!! The colours are fabulous, like an abstract oil painting, sometimes deep crimson, purple and other times very pastel with blue, pink, violet, with streaks of yellow, ever-changing in configuration. The best sunsets have some clouds in the sky. Sunsets are both relaxing and exciting at the same time. I see panoramas from my balcony that are breathtaking! Besides, what do you mean by sunrise??? I am unacquainted!!!! ??
Personally, I prefer sunsets.
Sunsets are a mellow, quiet time which allow me to ponder upon the beauty of nature, and on the day that's been. It allows me to contemplate life, the meaning of the universe, and everything.
Sunsets allow for a quite period of reflection and unwinding.
It is a perfect way to transition from day to night, and prepare to gaze upon the stars and wonder.
Sunset. I am not an early riser!
Definitely Sunset! During the 20 years that I lived + worked in The Bahamas + the Cayman Islands, people would stand along the shoreline w/ their cameras, waiting to try a capture a picture of the elusive Green Flash , as the sun would dip from view, into the ocean.
Once that was over, everybody would head to the bars for Happy Hour, cocktails + drinks! Yeah, party time!
Sunrise, sunset.....starts / beginnings and endings.....both spectacular and precious. I prefer sunrise but can't watch it as often due to sleeping....! The picture I'm uploading I got it published in the Spectator. Enjoy!!
The sunsets over Lake Huron where we live have always been a wonderful evening experience. The beauty can take your breath away…and the soul is nourished. One of my enduring memories is driving down the Huron coast road at sunset in an open sports car, listening to glorious music. I’ll need to borrow a very elderly sports car to replicate that one!
Interesting question. I enjoy any one that I’m alive enough to witness!
Nice easy question! Sunset, because I prefer to have the time to enjoy after the day is pretty much done. Unfortunately I don’t have the sunset view, so I try to enjoy the sunrises that I am fortunate enough to see from my home.
Sunset because I am still up to see it. Sunrise at 05:30 or so, is a bit early for me.
Sunset. 100%. I've always loved the night.
Sunrise......A sign I get to live another day (LOL) No really sunrise cause nature and the rest of the world slowly comes to life. Right now the sun isn't up yet the birds have started to sing / chirp at 4:30 ish. By noon it's mayhem !!
I am impartial to both, but I guess if I had to choose a beautiful sunset, it ends the day on a positive relaxing note and gives you a good feeling for tomorrow.
Sunset since it means not being up early... Except my photo is a sunrise
Sunrise, I like the feeling of the start of a new day
Both - if I'm on vacation, I love the sunrise. And if it's winter, I love the sunrise at home. I love sunsets everywhere.
Both are beautiful and since I need to work during the day - it is sunsets I see most!
Sunset! First of all, I am not a morning person and would have to be up for sunrise, but I love dusk, the prettiest time of day, no matter where you are.
Sunrise for sure ... the first day of the rest of my life.
Not a morning person so definitely sunset is my choice.
Sunset. We have a family cottage in Southampton. This location has one of the best sunsets in the world. The sun sets on the water 365 days per year and there is a delightful island with lighthouse that adds to the view.
I prefer sunset. I am an evening person not a morning person and it is not often that I am up early enough to see the sunrise. In addition, here in western Canada, at this time of year sunrise is at 5:00 am, 17 hours of daylight.
When I retired, I promised myself I could sleep in at long last. What's a sunrise?
Definitely sunsets! The sunsets along the west coast especially (in California) are breathtaking, especially if you're strolling through the beach. What a sight.
I like both but sunrise is truly magical. I used to have a summer job that involved shift work and working midnights would often see me in the watchtower overlooking Lake Ontario. Seeing the gradual progression from false dawn to the lightening sky in the east and finally the sun itself all with an unobstructed view was something I will never forget. It always used to give an element of hope.
Sunrise. When the sun sets one just never knows for sure when or whether old Earth will make it through one more rotation. Sunrise is proof that it did. At my age, sunset is just too symbolic - of a span of life that is so much closer to the end than the beginning. Sunrise reminds me that I still have a fair shot at another day.
Sunset! The best sunrise is any one that I am sleeping through! Our best sunset was in Ko’ Olina, Oahu, Hawaii!
I love sunrise but I rarely see it specially in summer. I dislike sunset, but I often see it.
Sunset, the golden hour with a celebratory hot or cold drink while walking on my country laneway. A magical time of day!
Sunset, because sunrise just comes too early. Though sunrise is nice if you stay up late enough!
I prefer sunset. The sunsets from the top of the cliff at my cottage overlooking Georgian Bay are breathtaking. Everything becomes quiet and peaceful. The trees look like they're on fire from the orange glow of the setting sun. The birds quietly fly overhead to settle for the night. My piece of heaven.
They are equally wonderful: one mark's the start of yet another day of getting more things done... while the other signals the closing-off of another accomplishment-focused day. Ain't it great just being alive?!
Sunset! Sunrise is too early.
Wow - interesting question and difficult to answer! I would have to say, as an early riser, the sunrise. It doesn't matter if it is a rainy day, or a foggy day...listening to the bird song, and getting ready for the day ahead is filled with hope and anticipation; making small, realistic goals; sending wishes and thoughts to family and friends for special events that day; saying Good Morning and getting a quick hug with my sons; sharing coffee with my love - it's all good. I am reminded and refreshed with This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Sunset. I'm seldom up for sunrise, at least in the summer.
Both sunrise and sunset can be breathtaking but since I am a nighthawk, I will say sunset thank you very much!
An odd choice' I choose not to choose. Sunrises are great because of the opportunity a new day provides. Sunsets over Lake Huron never grow old and the quiet contemplation they bring. Either way the fishing is best at these times of day!
Not being an early morning person, sunsets.
SUNSET - divine colours, reminds me of vacations sipping wine during setting sun, lets me pause and reset after long day.
Every night the sun disappears into Lake Huron and I marvel at the uniqueness whenever I witness this event, but it is the thrill of being up in time for a sunrise that really buoys a true sense of purpose, the feeling that I have a head start on another brand new day!
What is this sunrise that you talk about - said the retiree!
I'm a morning person and spent a lot of my career travelling east in the early morning so saw lot's of amazing sunrises. To me sunrise marks the turning over of the past 24 hrs and the beginning of a new, exciting and incredible day!
Sunset, it is the perfect end to any day, no matter what has transpired. The sky with many layers of clouds and the constantly changing shades of colour and the reflecting rays of the sun upon them never cease to capture my attention and amaze and humble me.
Sunset! Because I’m usually never aware for the sunrise!
Sunrise!
I am a summer baby and there is no better way to start the day than in the lake watching the sun come up!
Sunset because it seems like it is the one I can share with others the most. I enjoy sunrises a bunch but I think I prefer the folks more.
Sunset
Sunrise comes too early
Sunset. The sun slowly disappears. The colours are beautiful and darkness slowly appears.
I love sunrise as a new day and new adventures await ?? I am definitely a morning person ??
Sunset. I'm a night owl.
Sunrise because I do not drink alcohol or do drugs and I love morning songs and prayers
Definitely sunrise and the beginning of a new day. I similarly like spring which is all about rebirth. By sunset I am tired and worn out.
Sunset. Because it means I can go to bed soon after. Zzzz.
Sunset.
To quote the song Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins….
“I know it's out of fashion
And a trifle uncool
But I can't help it
I'm a romantic fool
It's a habit of mine
To watch the sun go down”

The photo was taken from my front door near Hamilton
Sunset nothing like it, always have loved it but since we’ve moved we are blocked from seeing so I appreciate more than ever
Sunset; prefer to sleep past sunrise ;)
Sunset. Both sunrise and sunset can be beautiful but I am always up and active at sunset. Sunrise, not so much.
Sunset. That's when I can kick back and count how many times that day I made my wife laugh.
Sunsets... The way my house faces means I don't see the sunrises.
