The Making of “Kancil dan Buaya” (Part 2) : Design and Production
I will tell about how Qajoo make “Kancil dan Buaya”. You know that this story is very popular, commonly told to children by their parents. Qajoo team trying to bring it with Qajoo’s taste
Here are some pictures of the design and production process for this project:
The process begins with a storyboard for every page. This process is very important, because as a basis for subsequent processes. The next process is designing characters, they are the Mouse-deer and the Crocodiles, where the Mouse-deer seem to be agile and ingenious, while the Crocodiles must be wild and frightening.
My favourite process is designing backgrounds of the story. Indonesian forest is the reference for story’s setting. Indonesian native species, namely Rafflesia arnoldii, shown on one of page in this story. So, if you’ve already downloaded “CERI: Kancil dan Buaya”, can you find where is it? 😀
The process is continued in the recording studio to obtain voice recordings and sound effects. Then the programmer will assemble the entire assets to become playable application. And this is it.. “CERI: Kancil dan Buaya”. Hope You can enjoy reading the Mouse-deer story with your children or even yourself 😉
